March Update

Writer: CerberusCerberus

We have been working hard alongside our tester team to bring you this latest update. There are a lot of new features as well as perfected and improved older ones so here is a list of some of the things you will be able to find as of the next restart!

March event! - As per our goal this year, each month will see a niche part of the economy enjoy a month-long boost so you have reasons to go and explore, and try out different things in the world to make a lot more money than perhaps some more 'normal' avenues. As has been the case, a new edition of Coyote Creek Courier has been released to keep the citizens of Coyote Creek informed of goings on in the world!

Fort Mercer - With the Cholera leaving Armadillo and much of New Austin in peril, Fort Mercer has opened it's doors to shelter people. A saloon, butcher, water pump, general store and doctor can now be found here

New Crafting Book - From community events and alongside our Crafting Advisors, a new crafting book has been completed, the items added, art work added, and the needs side of things to determine efficacy of this food has also been implemented! Note that over time the Camp book food and drinks list might not just get shorter, but might also grow less effective as more foods and drink are added into the world, which has greater complexity but also makes those things more worthwhile to make!

Some Crafting overhaul - various professions have seen some balancing. For example, before it was actually more worthwhile for Blacksmiths to hunt medium pelts than it was large, and so we've made various tweaks over all professions. Chemists will find that they can brew more tonics at once, Ambarino folk will note they can craft greater quantity of foods, shamans can make bandages with more ease, criminals of certain professions might have new extra ways to craft items to make money.

Locals in need - Hidden around the world will be locals in need of help for any number of reasons. For example, there is a high society event taking place and a renowned french cuisine chef is in need of help... finding and helping these locals has the potential to earn some unique rewards.

*Keep your eyes peeled as these will trickle their way into the world without any notification as we write more of these in over time!*

Criminal world improved - Many tweaks and improvements have been underway, but one new expanded feature will be criminal missions. These have a range of difficulties, but be warned, these are illegal... so there is risk to factor in!

Belt attachments - A range of items can now be visible: Bolas, Lanterns, Hatchet, Lasso, Binoculars!

Anti-rule breaking tweaks - Librarius has been hard at work to put into effect various code to ensure crimes being committed in a mechanic prohibiting fashion are reduced.

Other aspects work in progress:

Treasure Maps - ongoing testing taking place, needs a substantial amount more work but is underway.

More Crafting Books - More books are underway, from other cuisine to more furnishing for home owners now that houses are starting to sell across Coyote Creek State

More Professions - A new profession that has been on the books since Alpha but just hasn't seen the light of day just yet is underway, which will come with its own crafting book - more on that as and when its created!

Import/Export - Being vague on this one for now, but a future feature that will allow goods to come and go from all over the world, diversifying opportunities for items even more Gun jamming - created entirely in house, we have some gun jamming mechanics in play!
